The place

Soldier Lake Campground can be accessed from M-28, which leads to some of the best sight-seeing in the Upper Peninsula Michigan! Campers will experience a remote, relaxing experience far removed from highway noise. Access to the North Country National Scenic Trail is just off the parking area. This 4,600-mile trail runs from New York to North Dakota traversing the Upper Peninsula. View available sites at Soldier Lake Campground or make a reservation . There is a large grassy area for games. A large picnic shelter, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's, is available for protection from a sudden shower. The shelter has tables and a fireplace for when the weather turns chilly. Please be sure that all fires, whether in grills, fire rings, or the picnic shelter, are dead out before leaving.
