Recreation
Visitors to this area enjoy fishing, duck hunting and relaxing in this peaceful campground. This area affords a great diversity of fish and wildlife habitat. Millwood Lake is one of the top fishing lakes in the country. Some 20,000 acres of submerged timber provide excellent fish habitat for a wide variety of fish including crappie, largemouth, white striped and spotted bass, channel and flathead catfish, bluegill, sunfish, buffalo carp and drum.

Beard's Lake Park offers 5 paved campsites with water, electric hook-ups, and flush toilets. Visitors at Beard's Lake are granted access to shower facilities and a trailer dump station located one mile north at Beard's Bluff Park. Other amenities include a boat ramp, fishing docks, fishing pier, and 3 Tent campsites.

Beard's Lake Park is located on Beard's Lake; an oxbow lake located adjacent to the Little River, below Millwood Dam. Open fields, swampy grasslands, thick hardwood forests, and an abundance of fresh water has created one of the most unique and diverse habitats in the southern part of the country. - Alligators are present in Beard's Lake, Millwood Lake, and the Little River. - All fish remains must be disposed of outside of park. - All pets must be kept on a leash. - Off-road vehicles including ATVs, UTVs, and golf carts are not allowed in the park. - Showers and dump station are provided for visitors at Beard's Bluff Park, located one mile northeast. - Life Jackets Save Lives! - For more information, please call Beard's Bluff Park at (870) 388-9556 or the MIllwood Lake Project Office at (870) 898-3343. - STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water.
