The Crescent Lake Guard Station, built in the early 1930s, is a one bedroom, one bath cabin on the eastern shore of Crescent Lake, managed by the Crescent Ranger District, Deschutes National Forest. Keep reading
Recreation
A boat launch is nearby, and Crescent Lake Resort is within walking distance and offers a number of services including food, fishing supplies and boat rentals.
Facilities
The Guard Station is approximately 670 square feet with a full kitchen, a furnished living room that includes a couch (folds out to full bed), an original buffet, a desk and a newly installed gas wood stove's heater. The kitchen includes a fridge, stove and sink. The bedroom has a full bed, and the restroom has a claw foot tub, a toilet and a pedestal sink. Outside amenities include a picnic table, a fire grill and a horseshoe pit.
Natural Features
Crescent Lake is in the Deschutes National Forest in a naturally glaciated basin behind a moraine dam and lays just east of the summit of the Cascade Mountain Range in northern Klamath County. It is a popular recreation lake in a setting of wooded shorelines, sandy beaches and brilliant blue-green water. The Guard Station sits atop a small hill overlooking Crescent Lake in an open ponderosa stand.

This area is a typical Oregon summer recreation area which features Crescent Lake, Odell Lake, Waldo Lake and Gold Lake. The Diamond Peak Wilderness trail can be accessed nearby. Also nearby: beach, boat launch, resort, lodging, restaurants, boat rentals.

Please contact the Ranger District at (541) 433-3200 prior to arriving at the cabin to check on any restrictions or conditions, such as fire or road closures, weather or storms that may affect the quality of your visit
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and the check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

Please plan to bring your own specialized cooking utensils as basic cooking utensils are supplied. You will need to provide your own garbage bags, linens, sleeping bags/bedding, dish soap, and toiletries.

Sweep all floors and mop if necessary (broom, Swiffer mops are in the storage space on the right of the fridge). Swiffer wipes under kitchen sink
Clean counter tops, stove/oven, and sink (cleaning supplies under kitchen sink)
Please pack out all food and garbage
Keep the building and grounds clean to deter squirrel, mice, rats, bears and other wildlife from area
Doors and windows should be locked and all personal items removed upon departure

Who keeps the booking fee
The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”. Recreation.gov is run under contract by Booz Allen Hamilton. What share of your booking fee the contractor keeps isn’t published in any federal dataset we can read, so we print no number for it. Once you have reached the Sno-Park, stay straight and follow signs to the Resort on Forest Road 6005 (1,000ft). Still heading towards the Resort, turn right on Forest Road 6005-100 and then left on Forest Road 6005-105. The Guard Station will be on the right side of the road towards the lake.
