Dam View Camping Area
The place
Dam View Camping Area is a primitive six site campground near Dworshak Reservoir. Managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers the three upper sites have grassy areas with gravel parking primarily for tenting and smaller campers ( less than 26 feet). The three lower sites are paved and primarily for larger ( greater than 26 feet, Less than 35 feet) RVs. One CXT bathroom and two water sources are available for campers only. 1.4 miles down Viewpoint Rd is Big Eddy Recreation Area and Boat Ramp. 0.8 miles down A Road is Dworshak Visitor Center. Recreation.gov default: most campsites can be booked six months prior to arrival date. Most campgrounds go on sale at 7am PT / 8am MT / 10am ET, but not always; check the facility Seasons and Fees tab. Some locations also offer shorter supplemental booking windows.
