Edna Campground is located 56 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho, in a scenic Ponderosa Pine forest along Highway 21 at an elevation of 5,700 feet. Historic Idaho City is just 18 miles south. This campground contains 11 sites. Picnic tables, utility tables, and fire rings are provided, along with two vault toilets and a water pump. The site is in an open area with shade. Parking spurs are graveled. Due to its proximity to the highway, some noise from passing traffic is to be expected. Highway 21, also known as the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway, snakes along Mores Creek to Mores Creek Summit, Gold Fork, and Banner Ridge with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forest. Numerous trail opportunities are in the area, offering hiking, biking, horseback riding, and ATVing. In winter, the area becomes a playground for backcountry skiers and snowmobilers. Keep reading

There are numerous opportunities to go hiking, biking, horseback riding and ride off-road vehicles within a short car ride away. In the winter the area is a playgound for winter sports including cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
Facilities
Single sites have one picnic table, one fire ring, one utility table, and one tent pad. Double sites have two picnic tables, one tent pad, one fire ring, and two utility tables. There are two vault toilets and one hand water pump on-site. No trash service: pack-in, pack-out.
Natural Features
There is a small creek that runs adjacent to the campground and Crooked River runs near the site, offering whitefish and rainbow trout fishing. The campground is in the burn scar from the 2016 Pioneer Fire, so the surrounding landscape has many burned and downed trees. Wildlife and summer wildflowers are abundant. What the agency tells you
- Water from hand pump is tested monthly for contaminants and will be abruptly shut off if not currently potable. Please plan accordingly with your own water supply in case of a shut off during your stay. - Pets must be on a leash at all times -Campfires are allowed in fire rings ONLY, unless fire restrictions are in place. Contact Idaho City Ranger District for updates regarding fire restrictions. - Quiet hours are from 10pm-6am -No trash service: Pack-in-Pack-out -Reservations cancelled last minute due to weather or smoke conditions will not be refunded unless campground is closed to the public - Generators only permitted from 6am-10pm. - Closest cell service is in Idaho City (approx. 17 miles) or Mores Creek Summit (approx. 5 miles) - For questions regarding the campground, please contact the Idaho City Ranger District at 208-392-3700. - For questions regarding reservations and refunds, please contact Recreation.gov customer service.
Edna Creek Campground is located in an old burn scar from the 2016 Pioneer Fire. Please be cautious of burned hazard trees in the area.

Who keeps the booking fee
The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”.
