Findley Campground is located alongside the scenic Jackson Meadow Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest. The location, part of the Woodcamp Recreation Area, makes a great base camp for a wide range of recreational activities found in the surrounding area, including boating, fishing, hiking and hunting. Recreation
The reservoir offers excellent opportunities for boating, canoeing, water skiing, swimming and fishing. Anglers will find rainbow and brown trout. A boat ramp and designated swim beach are located within the Woodcamp Recreation Area. A half-mile interpretive nature trail wanders through adjacent Woodcamp Campground. A portion of the Pacific Crest Trail meanders along the east side of the lake. Hunting and biking are popular activities in the surrounding area.
Facilities
The campground offers single-family campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Flushing toilets and drinking water are provided.
Natural Features
Jackson Meadow Reservoir is situated in a rolling forested valley, where visitors are awarded beautiful views of the Sierra Crest and English Mountain. The campground lies on the western shore of the lake, in a forest of pine and fir trees. Contact Info For facility specific information, please call (530) 994-3401.
What the agency tells you
One vehicle included with reservation. Additional vehicle fee cost is $5/each per night for all vehicles. All operable, highway legal vehicles must pay extra vehicle fee, excluding the single vehicle included with the reservation. Please make payment at fee tube near campground entrance if not paid online.
Bears frequent the area; all food must be kept in approved containers.
Utility hookups, showers, telephones and cell phone service is not available at the campground.

Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. For current fire conditions or weather closures contact the Sierraville Ranger District (530) 994-3401 (voice), (530) 994-3521 (TDD).

Derived by CAMPANAC: the agency’s published rate for this season, $24 a night, plus one $8 recreation.gov reservation fee for the booking. A weekend here means Friday and Saturday night, booked once. Optional charges (an extra vehicle, a second tent, a dump-station fee) are listed separately and aren’t in this total.
Who keeps the booking fee
The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”. Recreation.gov is run under contract by Booz Allen Hamilton. What share of your booking fee the contractor keeps isn’t published in any federal dataset we can read, so we print no number for it.
