Holiday Park campground is on the west side of Benbrook Lake in north central Texas and accessible from US Hwy 377. Camping, hiking & horseback trails, boat launch, fishing & wildlife viewing are available. Keep reading

Recreation

Holiday Park campground is the main park for individual and family camping year-round. Developed trails run throughout Holiday Park, offering hiking & horseback riding. Visitors can spot deer, turkey, bluebirds, kinglets, woodpeckers and chickadees.

Facilities

Holiday Park offers a variety of camping sites including with utility hookups, screened shelters, an equestrian campsite, and walk-in only tent sites, restrooms with showers, and trailer dump stations. There are plenty of wide-open spaces for activities. Boat launch ramp and fishing docks are available.

Natural Features

Holiday Park campground varies from wooded bottoms to upland prairie, with open shorelines and rocky hillsides.

Nearby Attractions

Rule

As of April 1st, 2026: Reservations are made through Recreation.gov ONLY. There will no longer be a gate attendant in the gatehouse. America the Beautiful passes can be purchased at Bear Creek Campground in the Summer and the Lake Office in the Winter or anytime online. Campground accessible to active reservations ONLY with code provided in email after reservation confirmation. Pictures of individual sites can be found on Recreation.gov Early check in before 3PM will NOT be permitted. As of 1 October 2023, South Holiday Campground will no longer accept cash payments for campsite reservations.

Rule

Google and Apple Maps will try to direct patrons through the entrance of North Holiday Day Use Park. The only entrance is through US Highway 377 turning on Pearl Ranch Road. Pearl Ranch Road dead ends into the campground.

Camping at one or more campsites at Benbrook Lake for a period longer than 14 days during any 30-consecutive-day period is prohibited.

Inflatable or plastic pools are prohibited. Benbrook Lake is on a well-house system that can not support the use to fill those types of items. It also proposes several drowning hazards for wildlife.

STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water. The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”.
