Recreation
The McCoy campground provides easy access to mountain bikes, but also makes space for hikers, Off-highway vehicle use, walk-in campsites, and larger vehicle spaces as well!
Facilities
McCoy Flats Campground offers 22 sites: 20 individual, 2 for groups, plus a day-use area. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring; 12 feature covered pavilions, many with wind walls. Ten accommodate large RVs, while three are walk-in only. Four unisex vault toilets are available throughout the campground.
Natural Features
The campground is arranged in a Pinion/Juniper landscape with enough space for campers to feel comfortable. Natural screening combines with site construction to provide a unique camping experience.

Who keeps the booking fee
The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”. Recreation.gov is run under contract by Booz Allen Hamilton. What share of your booking fee the contractor keeps isn’t published in any federal dataset we can read, so we print no number for it.
