Midland Group Campground

There are five picnic tables, each with metal fire ring and a large area for tents and canopy structures. Bear-resistant food storage lockers are not yet available at this site. Portable toilets are provided for guest use, and water is available at Idlewild Campground about 3 miles north of Midland. The campground host will be located off-site at Idlewild. Natural Features Midland Campground sits at 9,500' elevation, along the Fraser River as it runs from its source near Berthoud Pass to its confluence with the Colorado River. Nearby trailheads and 4x4 roads provide access to Jim Creek, as well as the west side of historic Rollins Pass. The summit of Berthoud Pass provides further scenery and trail access. Afternoon thunderstorms can be expected during spring and summer months. Nearby Attractions Grocery shopping and restaurants are available in towns of Winter Park and Fraser. The Arapaho National Recreation Area and western portal of Rocky Mountain National Park are within an hour's drive. Charges & Cancellations Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov or by calling the call center at 1-877-444-6777 PRIOR to your reservation start date. Customers and contact center agents cannot modify reservations on or after the check-in date.
