The place
Nook Bar provides dispersed campsites for tents or small trailers on a large river bar by the beautiful Wild and Scenic Chetco River . Enjoy summer fun in the crystal-clear waters of this outstanding river! A few shaded spots can be found along the tree line. Camping on the gravel bar during the winter months is discouraged due to the frequency of high-water events. Facilities Vault toilets available. Potable water is not available at this site. Booking
Recreation.gov default: most campsites can be booked six months prior to arrival date. Most campgrounds go on sale at 7am PT / 8am MT / 10am ET, but not always; check the facility Seasons and Fees tab. Some locations also offer shorter supplemental booking windows.
