The place

Pittsburg Campground overlooks the Wild and Scenic Snake River in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. This large facility is open year-round with 28 tent/trailer sites many of which can accommodate large RVs and trailers. The accessible facility has accessible campsites and toilets with paved roads and camp spurs. Drinking water is available from April to October (pending weather conditions). With access to the Snake River for fishing, boating, historic interpretation, exploring and hiking within minutes of the campground, the facility is popular throughout the year. Keep reading

The Deer Creek road is maintained by Idaho County and is steep and narrow for the last few miles after entering the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am. The site is open year round. Facilities This campgrounds has 28 sites, each with a fire ring, picnic table and park space. Some of the campsites are accessible.

Fees

Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY. The discount applies only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not to any additional fee or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party. https://store.usgs.gov/recreational-passes Please be prepared to pay with CASH or CHECK. Overnight campsites fees are$15/night for single family unit (tent or trailer sites). Self-service pay station on site.
