Roubaix Campground is tucked into a grove of Ponderosa pines along its namesake lake. With a popular swim beach and opportunities for non motorized boating and paddling, campsites are dispersed among four loops, and many offer lake views. At an elevation of 5,500 feet, this camp remains comfortable on hot summer days, and sites are spaced far enough apart to offer ample privacy. This popular camp makes a great base for exploring all the activities and attractions at the lake and in the surrounding area. Keep reading
Recreation
Robaix Lake is ideal for swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing for brook and rainbow trout. Horseback riders, mountain bikers and off-road vehicle riders have access to a 1-mile multi-use trail that leads to a network of other trails.
Facilities
Roubaix Lake camp offers a variety of sites. Each one contains a gravel spur, picnic table and fire ring. Drinking water and accessible vault toilets are provided.
Natural Features
The Black Hills in western South Dakota and northeastern Wyoming feature a varied landscape of rugged rock formations, canyons and gulches, open grassland parks, tumbling streams and deep blue lakes. Nearby Attractions
The nearby town of Deadwood, South Dakota, is a National Historic Landmark with casinos, Wild West saloons, restaurants and shopping. Mount Rushmore can be reached in under an hour.

These campsites are non-electric sites. Generators may run from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. only.
There is a pet charge of $2 per pet per night, payable upon check-in

- The Senior and Access discounts are only honored for the site that houses the card holder. - If multiple sites are reserved on one card, the rest of the camping fee will be collected upon arrival unless another card holder occupies the site.
In accordance with standard industry practices, ExplorUS will be assessing an additional vehicle fee of $5.00 per night on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicle in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered to be one vehicle and the third and fourth are also considered to be one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles.
FYI: During the off season starting 10/01 the USFS operates this campground. C Loop is OPEN. All other Loops are CLOSED. The stay limit is 14 days in a 28 day period. Parking Spur Length is 2 5 ft. Drinking water is NOT available. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. Vault toilets are also available. Garbage and Trash "Pack It In Pack It Out" at all times. Please note that roads are not maintained during the off-season. Sites are open until weather prohibits access or closed on the date noted above. The information listed below is pertinent during the open season from May 15th to September 30th.

The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”. Recreation.gov is run under contract by Booz Allen Hamilton. What share of your booking fee the contractor keeps isn’t published in any federal dataset we can read, so we print no number for it.
