The place

Sam Brown Horse Campground is the only horse camp on the Wild Rivers Ranger District! Located in the midst of the area's amazing biodiversity, it's a great place to wander and take in the sights and sounds of the Illinois Valley. Recreation Recreation opportunities include horseback riding, hiking, wildlife viewing and splashing in the creek. Facilities 7 campsites with picnic tables, and fire pits No water available. Overnight Camping$15 per site per night
Additional Vehicle Fee$5 per vehicle per day NOTE : 50% discount for Interagency Senior and Access Pass holders on a single campsite. This discount does not apply to extra vehicle fees.
