Stevens Lake Recreation Area
The place
Stevens Lake Campground is a great place for those interested in fishing. The 300-acre lake is moderately good for walleye, northern pike, and panfish. It is also a popular campground for fall hunters. Located in a mixed stand of aspen and sugar maple, five of the six units have a scenic view of the lake. Stevens Lake is located about 23.6 miles west of Florence. From the north intersection of Highway 139 and Highway 70, drive west 3 miles on Hwy 70 to FR 2424. Booking
Recreation.gov default: most campsites can be booked six months prior to arrival date. Most campgrounds go on sale at 7am PT / 8am MT / 10am ET, but not always; check the facility Seasons and Fees tab. Some locations also offer shorter supplemental booking windows.
