Antelope Flat Campground lies on the shores of the beautiful Flaming Gorge Reservoir at an elevation of 6,000 feet, on the Ashley National Forest within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. Visitors love Antelope Flat for its easy access to boating, water skiing and fishing. Keep reading
Recreation
Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area is known not only for its beautiful red cliffs, but also for its world-class fishing for lake, brown and rainbow trout. Boating, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and scuba diving are popular activities on the reservoir.
Facilities
The campground contains four group sites, each with a picnic shelter, tables, campfire ring, grills and tent pads. Several family sites are available as well, each with a cabana, picnic table and campfire ring; some sites have grills. Flush toilets, drinking water and a dump station are provided. A boat ramp is located on-site. The campground is accessed via a well-maintained gravel road.
Natural Features
Nearly every site within the campground offers scenic reservoir and mountain views. Russian olive trees and cottonwoods dot the rolling, sagebrush-covered landscape. Nearby Attractions
Flaming Gorge Dam offers guided tours of the working hydroelectric plant and the dam, and the adjacent visitor center contains area history exhibits. The Green River below the dam provides spectacular rafting opportunities. A trip down the river offers unique geology, outlaw history and Native American rock art.
What the agency tells you
The single site fee covers the cost of 1 vehicle. Each single site's maximum capacity is 2 vehicles. There will be an extra vehicle fee for the second vehicle collected on site. 2 vehicles = 1 sleeping unit (trailer, pop-up, pickup camper, RV, etc) + 1 passenger vehicle or 2 passenger vehicles. There is not room for 2 sleeping units.
CHECK IN: Begins at 2 PM. CHECK OUT: By 11 AM.

Campers using group sites must walk and carry gear about 200 feet from the parking area. Paths from the parking area to the group sites does not support accessibility standards; some visitors may require assistance.
A fee of $1/person will be collected on-site for each person over the campsite maximum.
This campground has first come, first served sites. Availability is only known at your arrival. They may be occupied.
Drinking water is only available mid-late May through mid-September. No hookups available.
Dump stations are located at Antelope Flat, Deer Run, Firefighters, and Lodgepole. A fee is charged.
Showers are located at Deer Run and Mustang Ridge for campers with proof of camping registration.

Who keeps the booking fee
The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”. Recreation.gov is run under contract by Booz Allen Hamilton. What share of your booking fee the contractor keeps isn’t published in any federal dataset we can read, so we print no number for it.
