Carter Bridge Campground
The place
On the Wild and Scenic Clackamas River. The campground is a compact single loop through cedars, maples, and alders. A couple of berry patches suggest good picking in late summer. Some sites have great views of the river. Popular recreation activities include fishing and whitewater rafting. Download a Whitewater Recreation Map here!
Booking
Recreation.gov default: most campsites can be booked six months prior to arrival date. Most campgrounds go on sale at 7am PT / 8am MT / 10am ET, but not always; check the facility Seasons and Fees tab. Some locations also offer shorter supplemental booking windows.
Who runs it
Operated by Alaska Recreational Management, Inc., a private concessionaire, under permit from the agency.
