Recreation
Ivan Oakes Campground is located on the northern shore of Lookout Point Lake in the Calapooya Mountains. The Eugene-to-Pacific Crest Trail (EPCT), a 108 mile long recreation trail that connects the city of Eugene to the Cascade mountain range, runs along the campground providing easy access for hikers. The reservoir is a popular fishing spot with chinook salmon, walleye, rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and crappie.
Facilities
Ivan Oakes is a semi-primitive campground that offers 24 single family campsites. Campsites have picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets and potable water are available. Signal Point boat ramp is located less than one mile west of the campground and is usable at low water levels.
Natural Features
Located in the Calapooya Mountains, Ivan Oakes is surrounded by woodland. With close proximity to the Willamette National Forest, the area is home to lots of wildlife. The weather is generally mild during the recreation season with temperatures ranging from the low 50s to the upper 90s. Chances of precipitation are high from May through mid-June.
Charges & Cancellations
Reservation changes or cancellations can be made through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Cancelling/Changing a Reservation A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation. The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Depending on when you cancel in relation to your arrival day, it may be considered a late cancellation (see below). Late Cancellations Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee. Group Facility: Customers who cancel a group overnight facility reservation less than 14 days before the arrival date will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee. No-Shows A no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Staff will hold a campsite until 2pm on the day following the scheduled arrival date. No-shows are assessed $20.00 service fee and forfeit the first night’s recreation fee for a campsite. Early Departures If a customer departs prior to the scheduled check-out date, they may be eligible for a partial refund. Please notify staff at the facility if you depart early to allow others to use the site. Customers may notify the call center to request a refund of remaining unused nights. If a customer requests a refund for an early departure after the facility check-out time has passed, the customer will not be refunded for that night and is eligible for a refund on any additional nights that will not be used. Refunds Customers may submit a refund request through their Recreation.gov profile within 7 days of the end date of their reservation. Customers may also initiate a refund request through the call center at any time after their reservation has ended. Debit or Credit Card Purchases: Refunds for debit or credit card payments will be issued as a credit to the original card used to pay. Check or Cash Purchases: Recreation.gov will mail a Treasury check for refunds of cash, check, or money order payments to the address associated with the reservation. You may update the address at the time you request the refund. It may take up to 6-8 weeks for the Treasury check to arrive. Please make sure your address is up to date in your customer profile.

This campground limits camping to 14 days in any 30 day window.
Two (2) vehicles per site allowed, included with reservation fee as long as vehicles fit on the driveway. No additional vehicles permitted, including visitor vehicles. Extra vehicle passes cannot be purchased. Purchasing campsites for the purpose of obtaining extra vehicle passes and/or parking additional vehicles on the site without occupying the site overnight with camping equipment is prohibited.

Campsite capacity is limited to eight (8) individuals and no additional visitors allowed at the campsite.
Maximum 1 camping unit (RV, trailer, etc) and 1 tent, or 2 tents per site. All tents must fit on impact pad.
This campground requires you to reserve 2 nights on weekends, and 3 nights on holiday weekends
For medical equipment that will need power, please bring your own battery back-up, as campers will not be allowed to run generators during quiet hours.
Pinning, nailing, stapling or tacking anything to campground trees is prohibited.

The Signal Point Boat Ramp may be closed late August, due to a deep drawdown of Lookout Point Reservoir to help juvenile fish passage
STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water. Campers must have the ability to transport their RV or Travel Trailer for the duration of their stay. Guests cannot drop off or leave unmotorized trailers if they are unable to remove them without delay.

Follow Highway 58 East for about 13 miles. At Dexter Lake, turn left at the Lowell Covered Bridge onto South Pioneer Street and cross over the lake. Turn right at the first stop sign onto West Boundary Road/North Shore Drive. Follow this road to the top of Lookout Point Dam and continue for about 6 miles. You will pass some other access points including Signal Point Day Use Area. Ivan Oakes campground will be on the right side of the road about a mile past Signal Point.
