In the agency’s own words
Located in the Grand Mesa Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests, Lottis Creek Campground is at an elevation of 8,600 feet above sea level. On the shores of Lottis Creek, this newly remodeled campground is a perfect getaway for anyone that loves the outdoors. Nestled in lodgepole pines down the Taylor River Canyon, Lottis Creek Campground is great for anglers, hikers, bikers, and four-wheeler enthusiasts. Keep reading
Recreation
Two miles to the south, visitors will find access to the Fossil Ridge Wilderness Area. Hikers and equestrians can enjoy the trails of this pristine natural area. No mechanized or motorized vehicles are permitted in any Wilderness area. To the east of Lottis Creek Campground, four-wheel drivers will find many roads to explore. Cumberland Pass Road provides access to most of these trails.
Facilities
There are 47 single family campsites. There is one group site accommodating 50 people and 10 vehicles with a group pavilion. This facility was completely renovated in 2012 with electric hookups at most sites. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring.
Natural Features
Many of the electric hookup campsites benefit from the shade provided by the lodgepole pines in the campground.
Nearby Attractions
Taylor Park Reservoir is just a few miles from the campground, offering boating, fishing and swimming opportunities. A boat ramp and boat rentals are available there as well.â??Many trails for hikers are close by. Fishing is abundant in many areas and you will find numerous four-wheel drive trails. Standard Single Family sites: Recreation Use Fee allows ONE camping unit ONLY.
Late Arrivals: campers are not considered a "no-show" until 24 hours after arrival date check in time. Our policy is that your site will not be released before that.
FIRST COME FIRST SERVE sites must be booked in person. DO NOT call to determine availability, as they are only available on-site.

Extra Vehicles: Cannot be paid for in advance - upon arrival coordinate with host for payment and where to park.
Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
If using an Interagency Senior Pass or an Interagency Access pass, holder of this pass must be present with card and a picture ID for the park to honor the discount. The Interagency Annual Pass is not accepted.

Derived by CAMPANAC: the agency’s published rates for this season, $26–$36 a night, plus one $8 recreation.gov reservation fee for the booking. A weekend here means Friday and Saturday night, booked once. Optional charges (an extra vehicle, a second tent, a dump-station fee) are listed separately and aren’t in this total.
Who keeps the booking fee
The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”. Recreation.gov is run under contract by Booz Allen Hamilton. What share of your booking fee the contractor keeps isn’t published in any federal dataset we can read, so we print no number for it.
