Check-in/Check-out is at 11 a.m. RV's allowed up to 30' - No Hookups Vault toilets What to Expect Monte Cristo Campground is located towards the backside of the San Gabriel Mountains in a high-desert climate making the epic views seem endless. It is one of Angeles National Forest's lesser-used spots to pitch a tent. With 19 large, spacious and accessible sites, grab a friend (or two or three) and spend the weekend telling stories around the campfire, taking a short drive to hike Granite Mountain, or dip in the cool waters of postcard-worthy Switzer Falls.
Booking
Recreation.gov default: most campsites can be booked six months prior to arrival date. Most campgrounds go on sale at 7am PT / 8am MT / 10am ET, but not always; check the facility Seasons and Fees tab. Some locations also offer shorter supplemental booking windows.
