The place

the agency’s own description · what’s there

In the agency’s own words

Penny Spring Campground is a treat for campers who enjoy the great outdoors in a remote area. Near enough to enjoy the Warm Lake area, but also a quiet spot out of the summer crouds, Penny Springs offers plenty of relaxing under the pine forest canopy. In the late summer months, visitors enjoy picking huckleberries and viewing trails covered in wildflowers. Recreation: Catch a fish in the nearby stream, view the wildlife and enjoy a picnic with friends. Don't forget your Motor Vehicle Use Map of the Cascade Ranger District. It is your guide to open roads and trails designated for hiking, biking, horseriding and ATV riding in the area.

How we know

every fact on this page, and where it came from
Right now: U.S. Forest Service publishes no season and no closure for this campground, and it takes no bookings we can read. That’s a gap in the record and not a locked gate.
Cell signal: the Forest Service’s own campground description, read as text by CAMPANAC. None of this is a measurement. It’s what the land manager published about the place, and phones, carriers and weather all disagree with each other; treat it as a warning, not a promise.
