Stuart Day Use Area and Campground is nestled in the mountains of West Virginia along the Shavers Fork River, Located approximately 6 miles NE of Elkins at the junction of WV Route 6 and Forest Road 91 (Stuart Memorial Drive), it was constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The day use area offers tables, grills, and waste receptacles for picnicking, as well as three reservable pavilions. The campground has 25 sites for single use, 1 double site, and 1 group camping site for larger groups. Electricity, showers, and flush toilets are available at the campground.

Recreation.gov default: most campsites can be booked six months prior to arrival date. Most campgrounds go on sale at 7am PT / 8am MT / 10am ET, but not always; check the facility Seasons and Fees tab. Some locations also offer shorter supplemental booking windows.
