The place

Situated between the South Fork and the North Fork of the Umatilla River, this campground offers many more activities than just camping. Fishing (catch and release) and hiking in the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness are popular from early spring to late fall. With campsites nestled within a riparian area among an ample mix of conifers and deciduous trees and heavy vegetation that provides great privacy, you will think you are camping in the wilderness itself! This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Keep reading

Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. Recreation.gov default: most campsites can be booked six months prior to arrival date. Most campgrounds go on sale at 7am PT / 8am MT / 10am ET, but not always; check the facility Seasons and Fees tab. Some locations also offer shorter supplemental booking windows.

Fees

An overnight camping fee of$10.00 will be charged. An additional $5 "per extra vehicle" fee will be charged for each vehicle exceeding the maximum two vehicle per site allowance.
