Whitten Park Campground attracts thousands of outdoor enthusiasts for picnicking, fishing and swimming on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. Easy access to three boat docks, nature trails and a sandy swimming beach with a gazebo overlooking the waterway, make Whitten Park a welcoming destination for campers. Whitten Park is also referred to as Fulton Campground because of its location in Fulton, Mississippi. Keep reading
Recreation
Anglers can try their luck on the fishing dock or go off-shore in search of bass and crappie. Hikers will enjoy many nature trails, which weave through wooded wildlife habitats.
Facilities
The campground offers 60 sites with electric and water hookups. The three camp loops provide easy access to playgrounds and showers.
Natural Features
The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway extends 234 miles from the Tennessee River to the junction of the Tombigbee River in Alabama. The man-made waterway connects the nation's midsection of commercial water transportation with the Gulf of Mexico. Features include ten lock and dams, Gainesville Lake, Aliceville Lake, Columbus Lake and Aberdeen Lake.
Nearby Attractions
Tupelo, Mississippi, known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley, is 15 miles west.

You MUST have a reservation to camp. Attendants cannot do transactions at the gatehouse.

All vehicles must be street legal and only operated by a licensed driver. Golf carts and atvs are prohibited.
Only 4 vehicles (including camping unit) are allowed and should be parked on hard surfaces. Extra vehicles can parked by the gatehouse.
Remove all trash from your site before you leave and do not burn trash in the fire pit.
Extensions will not be granted from the week before Memorial Day weekend until after Labor Day weekend. Camper must leave after 14 days.
Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
November 15th, 2025, loops 1 and 3 (sites 1-19 and 42- 61) will be closed until March 1st the following year for renovations. Loop 2 sites 20 thru 41b will be open.

Who keeps the booking fee
The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”.
