In the agency’s own words
Campers Flat is on an open river terrace below Forest Road 21. This small campground is a group site situated in a beautiful setting under Douglas-firs and Ponderosa pines. The dynamic Middle Fork of the Willamette River almost eliminates the sound of traffic passing along the road. Popular activities are fishing and hiking, or mountain biking the Young's Rock Trail, which ends on the other side of Road 21 from the camp. Keep reading
Recreation
This campground is ideally located for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. The Middle Fork National Recreation Trail can be accessed just outside of the campground, as well as the Young's Rock trail. Chuckle Springs and Indigo Springs offer other opportunities nearby, and in the right season fishing is available in the Middle Fork as well as the nearby Hills Creek Reservoir.

The campground has one small communal bathroom and regular trash services.

This campsite is located in a beautiful grove of Douglas firs, pines, and cedars. The Middle Fork flows along the side of the campground, and Chuckle Springs and Hills Creek Reservoir are short drives away.

What the agency tells you
This group site has potable water available via hand pump, but guests are still encouraged to bring their own water or water filtration system for their stay in case the system must be closed for emergency repairs.
The combination needed to access this site will be provided upon reservation, but can also be aquired by guests with a reservation by contacting the Middle Fork Ranger Station several days before arrival. Guests must call on a weekday during business hours for a staff member to be available to provide the code.
Guests are expected to leave the site clean and orderly, including the bathroom.

Road construction and road closures may impact travel to and from the site. Contacting the Middle Fork Ranger Station is the best way to find any alternate routes to the site should the be necessary.

Who keeps the booking fee
The agency’s own policy text says the reservation fee and the cancellation processing fee are “retained by the reservation service contractor”, and that a campground concessionaire will decline to refund them because “they did not receive these fees”.
