New Joe's Campground

This campground is one of two campgrounds located a short distance from the New Joe's bouldering area that is located to the east of the campground. This is a world famous bouldering area and is a major draw for the local communities. There are an abundance of activities to participate in nearby. This campground is located west of the San Rafael Swell and east of the Manti-La Sal National Forest. It is centrally located and provides ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. 7 miles of social trails in the area. To the west continuing up the main road is Joe's Valley Reservoir located in the National Forest, and to the east is the San Rafael Swell. Experiences in the Swell include rock climbing, canyoneering, red rock arches, and other formations. The National Forest offers fishing and winter sports inlcuding backcountry skiing and snowmobiling. Both provide offroad experiences with varying trails for UTVs/ATVs that lead to different destinations like vistas or historical sites.
